The Merge will occur at around ETH mainnet block height of 15,540,293 when Ethereum Mainnet hits the Terminal Total Difficulty (TTD) value of 58750000000000000000000. The Merge will occur in two steps, Bellatrix consensus layer upgrade and Paris execution layer upgrade.
InsurAce.io will suspend all services at approximately one day before the Paris execution layer upgrade (approximate timeline). The suspension is expected to last 48 hours.
- After the Merge, one or more forked PoW ETH could emerge. We will release information about what to do with these forks if any become prominent.
- InsurAce.io will evaluate the listing of the forked PoW ETH at a later date.
- The “ETH” ticker will be used for ETH PoS chain after the Merge.

For the Merge, from https://dune.com/bernat/the-merge-tracker, the time is around 2022-09-15, 2AM, UTC. We plan to stop Cover Purchase (ETH), Claim (ETH), and Bridge of all 4 chains from 2022-09-14, 2PM, UTC to 2022-09-15, 2PM, UTC.
