InsurAce.io was at DevConnect in Amsterdam this week for ETHAmsterdam, Global Governance Gathering (by theDAOist), and Secureum TrustX. Here’s some of what we got up to.
In a continued tradition with the past events we have attended, InsurAce hosted another DeFi Retreat with Hacken, Balancer, Okra Finance and Messari. The event was a 4-day hangout for conference attendees to come for a coffee, co-work or chill at the Bar Italia Restaurant on Nes, one of Amsterdam’s oldest streets.
We had over 1000 conference attendees use the space during the time we were open. It was a pleasure to see so many new faces as well as some of our partners, investors and regular event attendees. We also hosted evening drinks with Hacken to announce our V2 to the public and press.
Our CMO, Dan Thomson, gave a talk to over 60 attendees at the Wednesday evening drinks, as well as joining a panel of Nexus Mutual, Ease, Sherlock, and Bright Union at the Secureum TrustX event, talking about the future of DeFi Insurance, and the current roadblocks.
It was an intense week with multiple events and parties happening throughout the week across some of the most iconic locations in Amsterdam.
As with all events, they are a great opportunity to see and meet existing and new partners. We had the pleasure of spending time with Bright Union, Hats Finance, IOSG, Polygon, Trader Joe, Voltz, 1inch, AAVE, Circle, NEON, Lido, Re7 Capital, BlockDaemon, Balancer, Bancor, and Binance to name a few.
As one of the largest crypto conferences in the world, DevConnect is not one to miss! But after 8 days of conferencing and crypto events, our team had to say goodbye and return to their countries.
We’re looking forward to the next conference, Permissionless in Florida where we also hope to host another DeFi Retreat.
